An absolutely wonderful and seldom seen bookcase / cabinet produced to compliment the Volnay sideboard designed by John J.Herbert for A.Younger Ltd c.1957. Constructed from a solid afrormosia carcass with the signature over-hanging ends and curved top this pieces features a lockable teak veneered cupboard and two sliding glass doors with a total of 5 adjustable /removable shelves. Sourced from the family of the original owner this piece has been cleaned and oil finished and presents beautifully with just the odd light scuff and mark - a real credit to the original owner, lovely rich colour and grain throughout.
