A wonderful example of a Hilton occasional table designed by Arthur Edwards c.1961 and produced by White & Newton. The coffee table features a teak sliding top that opens up to reveal a sycamore lined workbox that sits alongside a magazine shelf. Fully restored this example is in wonderful condition with just the odd tiny mark and nibble only visible on very close inspection. These tables are constructed using large amounts of solid teak and richly figured and coloured veneers - in 1962 this coffee table would have cost you £18! A wonderful design and seldom seen.
