A rarely seen and very stylish R414 sideboard designed by WH ‘Curly’ Russell c.1956 for Gordon Russell in near perfect fully restored condition - newly lacquer finished as per original. The lacquer finish is heat, stain, uv resistant and maintenance free. The piece features quarter cut mahogany veneers to the carcass and fronts that have a subtle but beautiful mellow honey colour and rich figuring that contrasts wonderfully with the darker solid mahogany trim, elegant tapered legs and brass handles. The cupboard doors open to reveal a full width fixed shelf (curved at one end to accommodate taller bottles) with two drawers underneath (one with a lined cutlery section). A really beautiful piece of British design and craftsmanship and perfect for the smaller space.
