Stunning walnut and beech dining table c.1956
A rarely available and beautifully designed and made fixed top dining table by Peter Hayward for Vanson. c.1956. Will seat four in comfort and 6 if your friends! Newly restored and given a lacquer finish (as per original) this table is in near perfect condition - fabulous depth of grain and colour. The table is wonderfully proportioned with a boat shaped top (constructed from an inch thick solid timber core) with a deep chamfered edge and veneered in a richly figured and coloured Australian walnut with contrasting solid beech splayed, triangular legs and apron also veneered in walnut the overall impact is just fantastic - its a beautifully executed design finished in a fabulous combination of materials. The pics really don’t do it justice! A gorgeous and seldom seen table perfect for the smaller space. It would also make a fabulous desk / home office.
