£1,995.00

An absolutely beautiful and seldom seen bureau designed by WH ‘Curly’ Russell for Gordon Russell of Broadway c.1958. Wonderfully made with all solid timber core construction and finished in a striking combination of teak carcass and legs with drop down front (complete with original key) and fitted interior finished in prima vera and cupboard and drawers in Indian Laurel all with curved steel handles. The stunning combination of materials, subtle detailing and finish throughout is outstanding.

Presented following a full professional restoration all exterior surfaces and the interior of the drop-down front have been newly lacquer finished as per original and apart from the odd tiny ding and nibble (only visible on very, very close inspection) is in fabulous condition. Three generous drawers and a single cupboard opening to reveal a solid timber adjustable / removable shelf. The only example of this configuration of bureau and materials from this rarely seen range that I’ve ever seen. Matching sideboard also available.
