An absolutely stunning and incredibly comfortable armchair and footstool with satin chrome swivel bases fully reupholstered with all new webbing, foam and feather and down cushions in a lovely subtle textured, and soft moonlight light grey 100% wool by Abraham Moon. This chair was sourced along with several other Greaves & Thomas pieces and appears to be a G&T variant of a well known Werner Lagenfeld design for ESA of Denmark. The last pic shows the G&T catalogue picture from 1966 for what was branded as the ‘Langefeld Chair’. I assume this was sold by G&T under licence in the UK? A rarely seen combo of armchair and footstool in fabulous condition - some light pitting to the bases and a couple of missing plastic glides - I love it, be quick before I decide to keep it.
