Stunning solid Elm bureau by Reynolds of Ludlow c.1950

£1,495.00

A beautifully crafted and wonderfully proportioned two drawer bureau by Arthur Basil Reynolds for Reynolds of Ludlow finished almost entirely in solid English Elm c.1950 in near perfect restored condition. It’s design and construction is steeped in the Arts & Craft / Cotswold school tradition and is made almost entirely from only the finest solid English Elm to a very high standard. The drop down front features striking quarter matched solid Elm and opens to reveal a fully fitted and spacious interior. This stand out piece of early mid-century design has been given a full professional restoration and presents beautifully. It is complete with a working lock and key and new (aged) green leather work surface. The variety and depth of colour and grain to the English Elm is exceptional - the pics really don’t do it justice, if I had a spot for it I’d be adding it to my own collection. Working from home doesn’t get any more stylish than this - a simply stunning and very seldom seen piece.

69cm width x 41cm depth x 101.5cm height. Height to writing surface 75cm. Total working area approx 67 x 65cm.
