A rare opportunity to own a simply exceptional pair of original Kohinoor high-back armchairs finished in a richly patinated olive green leather by Howard Keith c.1970. Exceptional quality of craftsmanship and materials throughout - the original leather has been carefully cleaned and conditioned whilst the chromium plated swivel bases have been polished - both chairs retain the original self levelling feet. The leather has an exceptional patina and whilst there are several scuffs and marks (mainly on the exposed edges of the chairs) the rich colour and subtle variation in tone is simply stunning and is a real credit to the original owners (these chairs were used in the directors office of a family owned jewellery shop). Big, handsome and unbelievably comfortable these are armchairs of the highest quality. A rare and highly collectable pair of late midcentury armchairs of exceptional quality.
