A scarcely seen Planar wall mounted desk / sideboard in richly figured teak with 2 drawers and ebonised writing section in excellent restored condition. The Planar range was designed by Robert Heritage for Archie Shine and produced from 1967 to the early 70’s. Although it did not sell well, Heritage regarded Planar as one of his most significant designs. Originally designed for the dining room these pieces offer great flexibility in todays home as either a desk or sideboard. This example features some lovely teak veneers and has been given a lacquer finish (as per original), just the odd tiny ding and mark. Comes complete with 3 heavy duty steel brackets that have been specially made as the original fittings had been lost. A wonderful piece of design and craftsmanship that could have been designed yesterday - we love it.
