Striking Rosewood & Mahogany sideboard by Vanson c.1957

£1,250.00

A wonderful fully restored example of a model 9007 sideboard designed by Peter Hayward for Vanson Furniture in near perfect condition with just the odd tiny ding and nibble. The sideboard features a striking front with cupboard doors inlaid in a pattern of rosewood and mahogany with rosewood faced drawer fronts and the signature Vanson solid brass handles. The cupboard opens to reveal a full width adjustable shelf covered in formica, the top drawer is felt-lined and sectioned and includes an additional lift out cutlery tray. The carcass is veneered in a richly coloured and figured mahogany and stands on solid mahogany, tapering legs. You will not find a better example for sale - all exterior surfaces have been stripped and newly lacquer finished (as per original) and present beautifully. A wonderful piece of British 1950’s design and craftsmanship.

137.5cm length x 45.5cm depth x 84cm height.
