A rarely available Stamford armchair designed by Robin Day for Hille c.1952 fully restored with all new foam and finished in a boucle wool from Bute in a rich Windsor blue. Wonderfully proportioned these chair are formed from a curved plywood back and arms with a metal sprung, solid beech seat frame with tapered and splayed solid mahogany legs finished with period correct metal glides. Wonderfully styled and incredibly comfortable - these chairs have a real presence and could be used throughout the home or office. We have one other example available either to match or for bespoke upholstery of your choice.
