An incredibly rare and hugely collectable sideboard in outstanding restored condition. This Interplan unit L sideboard features the most desirable configuration with a fully fitted interior of four solid mahogany drawers and single adjustable shelf and two tone (black and pale grey) vitrolite glass sliding doors with recessed circular brass handles finished on gun metal grey tubular steel legs. Constructed throughout in a richly figured and coloured solid mahogany this is a very rare opportunity. Sourced from the family of the original owner this example was purchased c.1957, the range was launched in 1954. Fully restored the exterior has been stripped and newly lacquer finished (as per original) and is is wonderful condition. There are three small drilled holes in the bottom right rear panel in to which we have inserted small wooden caps – only noticeable on close inspection. The original doors are in excellent condition with just the odd very light surface scratch as to be expected.
