Heals teak and black chest of drawers c.1949
Heals teak and black chest of drawers c.1949
An absolutely lovely and very early Heals design by Christopher Heal c.1949 designed under Utility Furniture restrictions this modular range would eventually include a total of 25 individual pieces - including a sideboard, bookcase, writing desk, room dividers and chest of drawers. This 3 drawer chest has been reimagined and features a richly coloured and figured teak carcass with ebonised drawer fronts, handles and legs - all surfaces have then been newly lacquer finished with just the odd small ding, veneer nibble and mark only visible on very close inspection. Perfectly proportioned for next to a bed - a very cute piece!
